Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico (HNNUSA)  On Thursday, Jesús Armando Acosta Guerrero, aka, "35," alleged leader of the Juarez La Linea gang was arrested, the Federal Public Security Secretary (SSP) confirmed. Guerrero is accused of ordering and participating in 25 murders of rival gang members, federal and municipal police, as well as other victims. He engaged in extortion, kidnappings, drug trafficking, and operated criminal activity in six bars in Juarez. Guerrero sold drugs at the bars "Arriba Chihuahua," "V-Bar," "Mirage," "Club 16," "Aristos," "El Rodeo" and "El Ghost".
La Linea gang is the armed enforcers for the Juarez Cartel. He received orders from José Antonio Acosta Hernández, aka, "El Diego," the second in command of La Línea, according to SSP.
SSP informed through a press conference, that a group of La Linea gang members attacked federal and municipal police hours after Guerrero was taken into custody, in response to his arrest. A stolen vehicle driven by gang members rammed into two federal police squads in a conjested intersection.
Two federal police officers and one paramedic were reported killed, and seven officers and two civilians were also injured on Thursday's attack on federal police in Juarez.
On June 25, Guerrero ordered two federal police officers killed.
