Rare catch for the Southern part of Lake Michgan

Milwaukee - On Wednesday, JSonline reported that fisherman Jim La Rose of Milwaukee made an unusual catch at the Government Pier, next to the Mckinley Marina on Lincoln Memorial Drive. He caught a newsworthy 43-inch Musky around 7:30 a.m. and La Rose even took a photo to prove it.
The trophy catch is rare in the Southern part of Lake Michigan and in the Great Lakes. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has taken interest on the catch and would like to inspect the find to see, if the musky was equip with an implanted passive intergated transponder. The device would provide information about when it was stocked in the lake and where it came from. If the device is missing, then the DNR would probably determine it is a naturally off spring from other fish in the lake.
The Wisconsin DNR data indicates the Musky could be between 10 to 20 years old, according to its size.
