Town of Sharon, WI - On Thursday, a gofundme account asking for $9K was established for funeral expenses for Eric Gutiérrez, 11, from the Town of Sharon who was shot in the head on Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area. Gutiérrez was declared brain dead at local hospital on early Thursday (12:38 a.m.). The Walworth County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) reported that a handgun has been recovered along with other evidence shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the scene.
The WCSO questioned a 13-year-boy in connection with the shooting, but no further details have been released.
Gutiérrez will remain on life supports until his organs can be donated to recipients, according to his mother.
