WNU Editor: For the Russian majority in Crimea the choice is ridiculously simple. Their pensions are being paid. The economy has taken a hit but people are still getting by. Government services are still being maintained. The choice of having their children educated in Russian is not threatened. And with 30,000 Russian soldiers on the peninsula ... there is no fear that the conflict in Ukraine will spread to Crimea itself. On the Ukraine side .... the currency has been destroyed. Mass unemployment. Government services being shut down or streamlined. The rise of radical Ukrainian nationalists who have no sympathy for Ukrainians of Russian descent. And .... a country that is now in a state of war. If you are Russian living in Crimea and given a choice .... which country do you want your family to live in?
