Dallas, Texas - On Saturday, Dallas police responded to a multiple shots fired at Lake Highlands Landing around 6:13 p.m. at the 9700 block of Forest Lane. When police arrived, they discovered two bodies with apparent fatal gunshot wounds at an apartment.
Police identify one of the victims as off-duty Dallas Police Officer Larry Tuttle, 40, a six year veteran with the Dallas Police Department. The second body was an unidentified woman who is believed to be Tuttle's acquaintance.
The preliminary police investigation indicates that Tuttle was fatally shot by the woman who then committed suicide. According to police, a neighbor heard several shots and afterwards heard a woman cry out and a shot followed.
A 6-year-old girl was found inside the apartment and was unheard.
