With casualties mounting, thousands of volunteers fighting Russian-backed rebels, and troops upset about shoddy treatment and equipment, some say Kiev should declare a state of war and professionalize the fight.
WNU Editor: Everyone knows that the eastern part of Ukraine is now a war-zone .... declaring that one is now officially at war will only mean a change in the paperwork. But Anna Nemtsova's analysis on what is happening in Kiev is accurate and it mirrors what my own relatives/friends/associates are saying in Kiev in the past few weeks .... in short .... the entire war effort has been an utter and complete disaster.
