Automatic weapon recovered by Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office along U.S. South Highway 41 on the Miller Parkway interchange.

West Allis, WI - On Monday, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) and Milwaukee Police responded to a road rage shooting on southbound U.S. Highway 41 ust before 7:30 a.m. involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle. The Sheriff's office says, James L. Norman, 35, who was driving a motorcycle had fired a gunshot at a driver going southbound on U.S. Highway 41. The gunshot went through the passengers side window and exited on the driver's window slightly missing the vehicle driver.
Norman who has a criminal history, then proceeded south and crashed into a median guard wall at the Miller Parkway interchange. He then discarded the weapon. Police and Sheriff's deputies took him into custody. Norman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of slight injuries. He became combative with arresting officers while in a squad car.
A blood test was taken to determine alcohol content on his blood.
He is facing attempted homicide, a felon with a weapon and possible DUI charges, according to the MCSO.

The road rage shooting incident happened after a vehicle and motorcycle attempted to enter the highway and both drivers were trying to enter first when the incident was sparked.
